After the Samsung Galaxy S24 excitement at Unpacked 2024, Samsung hinted at a new wearable – the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Official details are less, but rumors are a lot. Here’s a quick overview of what we know and look forward to with the Samsung Galaxy Ring.
Here’s what we know till now
Before Unpacked, the only unofficial info on the Galaxy Ring was Samsung partnering with Japanese firm Meiko for components. Though unconfirmed, Samsung collaborated with Meiko on the Galaxy S23 series.
Samsung’s official Galaxy Ring announcement provided minimal details, with a brief mention and a teaser video showcasing a CG-rendered smart ring. The video hints at three components, likely health sensors, and a distinctive concave outer surface. Unfortunately, no information on features, styles, pricing, or availability was disclosed – a classic one-two tease.
Post-reveal, analyst Evie Greengart, having spent time with prototypes, described the ring as “ridiculously light.” Samsung aims to launch it in three finishes, with sizes up to 13, targeting a 2024 release, although pricing remains undetermined.
