The ICC T20 World Cup squad deadline has passed, but Pakistan’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad is’nt revealed yet. PCB plans to announce it on May 23 or 24, just before the ICC’s May 25 deadline. They’re worried about injuries to Rizwan, Azam Khan, Irfan Khan, and Haris Rauf, so they’re watching their performances in Ireland and England closely.
The delay doesn’t matter much because teams can change their squads until May 24. After that, changes are only allowed for fitness or injury reasons with approval from the technical committee. That’s why the PCB and selectors are waiting until after the first match in England to announce the squad.
